TRAZATONO

Photo-verified dental shade selection

Replace physical shade guides with a digital system that standardizes color communication between surgeon and lab. No ambiguity, no remakes.

What is TrazaTono
Shade Selection
Order Integration
The problem it solves
Physical guides = subjective interpretation
A surgeon says "A2" and the technician interprets a different A2 under different light. Physical guides degrade, ambient light shifts perception, and the result is the most common remake in restorative dentistry: shade mismatch. TrazaTono eliminates subjectivity.
DIGITAL SHADE SYSTEM
TrazaTono replaces physical guides with a digital shade selection interface. The surgeon picks the shade on screen and the system links that selection to a clinical photo of the patient — the lab receives the value and the visual evidence, never one without the other.

Key fact: TrazaTono integrates with Photo Gates. The shade field is locked until the corresponding clinical photo is uploaded. There is no way to send a shade value without its visual evidence.
STANDARDIZED COMMUNICATION
It does not matter which shade system the surgeon uses — TrazaTono translates the selection into a format the lab understands without ambiguity. The technician sees the exact value, the reference system, and the clinical photo in a single panel.
Selection interface
How to select the right shade
TrazaTono provides a visual shade guide interface with side-by-side comparison against the clinical photo. It supports multiple shade zones for complex cases with gradients and characterizations.
SIDE-BY-SIDE COMPARISON
The screen splits in two: on the left, the clinical photo of the patient. On the right, the shade guide from the selected system. The surgeon can visually compare before confirming their choice — eliminating reliance on memory or ambient lighting.

NOTES FOR THE TECHNICIAN
After the main shade you can add a free-text notes field with characterizations — gradient, incisal translucency, mamelons, surface texture, internal staining. The technician receives the note alongside the photo and the VITA code.
WHEN TO USE STUMP SHADE
In esthetic anterior crowns with lithium disilicate or thin monolithic ceramics, the underlying tooth color can "push" the final shade. Documenting the stump shade prevents try-in surprises: the lab compensates translucency with the right shade.
Quick flow: The surgeon picks the main VITA code, optionally records the stump shade, and adds notes if any. With the mandatory TrazaCaptura photo already taken, full shade submission takes under 30 seconds.
TECHNICIAN VIEW
The lab technician sees a consolidated panel: clinical photo, selected shade system, value per zone, and characterization notes. All in one place, no need to dig through emails or attached PDFs.
Connection to the order
The shade travels with the evidence
TrazaTono is not a standalone tool. Shade data integrates directly into the clinical order through Photo Gates. The lab receives the value AND the visual reference — the number 1 cause of remakes disappears.
PHOTO GATES INTEGRATION
The shade field in the order is protected by a Photo Gate. Until the surgeon uploads the shade photo, they cannot select the color. When they do, TrazaTono activates: the selected shade and the photo become permanently linked in the order.
Shade mismatch is one of the leading causes of restorative remakes
Clinical photo + shade value travel together to the lab on every order
No lab calls asking "are you sure about this shade?"
WHAT THE LAB RECEIVES
In every order with TrazaTono, the technician receives: (1) The clinical shade photo taken by the surgeon with TrazaCaptura. (2) The selected VITA Classical code. (3) The stump shade if the surgeon recorded it. (4) Characterization notes if any. All linked, all verifiable.
ELIMINATING THE #1 CAUSE OF REMAKES
Shade mismatch is one of the leading causes of restorative remakes. It usually happens because the lab receives only a shade code without visual context, or because shade interpretation drifts between clinic and lab. TrazaTono closes that gap by linking the digital prescription with photographic evidence.
Permanent record: Every shade selection is recorded in the order history. If the patient returns for an additional restoration years later, the surgeon can look up the exact shade that was used — with the original photo included.
EXCLUSIVE TO TRAZALAB
TrazaTono is not a generic color picker. It is a shade communication system designed for the surgeon-lab workflow, with mandatory photographic verification and permanent linking to the clinical order. No equivalent exists in PDF forms or generic platforms.
