TRAZAPANO

Surgical planning on panoramic X-rays

Digital canvas that replaces paper markup with post-its. Load your panoramic, plan implants, bridges and extractions, and present to the patient — all in one tool.

Overview
The digital canvas for panoramics
TrazaPano replaces physical markup with post-its and pens on printed X-rays. A digital canvas where you load the panoramic, calibrate real-world scale, plan the entire surgery, and present the plan to the patient — no paper, no lost information.
SUPPORTED FORMATS
Load panoramics in JPG, PNG, WebP and DICOM. DICOM files retain original clinical metadata. Images are processed locally in your browser — they never leave your device until you decide to save.
IMAGE ADJUSTMENTS
Brightness, contrast and invert controls built in. Optimize the visibility of anatomical structures without leaving the tool. Every adjustment is non-destructive and reversible at any time.

The complete TrazaPano workflow:

LOAD PANORAMICImport JPG, PNG, WebP or DICOM
CALIBRATESet real-world scale in mm

Built with direct surgeon feedback: Every TrazaPano tool exists because a surgeon requested it. There are no filler features — only tools used in real surgical planning, validated on real cases.
LOCAL PROCESSING
The panoramic renders in your browser. Markup, measurement and planning tools work without internet connection. Only the AI analysis requires connectivity to send the image to the GPT-4o Vision model.
Planning tools
Complete surgical arsenal
All the tools you need to plan from a single implant to a full rehabilitation — directly on the calibrated panoramic.

IMPLANTS AND PROSTHETICS

IMPLANT PLACEMENT
Built-in brand and size selector. Libraries for Straumann, Zimmer and Implant Direct with real dimensions. Place the implant on the panoramic, rotate, adjust depth and verify relationship with anatomical structures.
CROWN PLANNING
FDI numbering system built in. Select the tooth position, define the crown type and visualize it on the panoramic with color-coded indicators.
BRIDGE PLANNING
Define abutment teeth and pontics with a single gesture. The bridge draws automatically connecting abutments, clearly showing which teeth are supports and which are suspended.
EXTRACTION MARKING
Mark teeth for extraction with clear visual indicators. Extraction marking integrates with implant planning to visualize the complete surgical sequence.

BONE AND ANATOMICAL ANALYSIS

SINUS LIFT ANALYSIS
Measure the distance between the alveolar crest and the maxillary sinus floor. Determine whether a sinus lift is required and estimate the graft volume needed before placing implants in the upper posterior sector.
BONE GRAFT
Plan bone grafts by defining current bone level vs. target level. Visualize the height and volume difference the graft must cover, directly on the calibrated panoramic.
NERVE CANAL IDENTIFICATION
Trace the path of the inferior alveolar nerve canal on the panoramic. The tool calculates the minimum distance between the canal and planned implants, alerting when proximity is critical.

MEASUREMENT AND ANNOTATION

Distance ruler in mm with calibrated precision
Angle measurement between structures or implants
Calibration tool for real-world scale
ANNOTATION TOOLS
Freehand drawing, arrows, circles and free text. Each annotation renders as an independent layer you can move, edit or delete without affecting the rest of the plan.
All measurements require calibration: Before measuring distances or placing implants, calibrate the image using a known reference object (calibration sphere, known tooth width). Without calibration, measurements are proportional but not absolute.
Artificial intelligence
6-pass analysis with GPT-4o Vision
TrazaPano sends the panoramic to GPT-4o Vision in 6 specialized sequential passes. Each pass focuses on a specific clinical aspect, building on the results of the previous one.
1
DENTAL SPATIAL MAP
Identification of each tooth present with FDI coordinates. The model maps the spatial position of each tooth, detects absences and generates an initial inventory that serves as the foundation for all subsequent passes.
2
INVENTORY AND QUALITY
Complete catalog of each tooth: existing restorations, morphology, crown condition. Detects prosthetic crowns, root canals, posts, cores and amalgam or composite restorations visible on the panoramic.
3
PATHOLOGY DETECTION
Detection of 25+ pathology types: interproximal and occlusal caries, periapical lesions, root fractures, resorptions, cysts, impacted teeth, maxillary sinus pathology and more. Each finding includes FDI location and confidence level.
4
BONE AND PERIODONTAL ANALYSIS
Periodontal classification per AAP/EFP 2017. Estimated bone density with Misch D1-D4 scale. Mandibular cortical index per Klemetti. Horizontal and vertical bone loss assessment by sextant.
5
ANATOMICAL STRUCTURES
Identification of maxillary sinuses, nerve canals, TMJ and third molars. Evaluates sinus pneumatization, inferior alveolar nerve position, temporomandibular joint status and impacted third molar classification.
6
IMPLANT PLANNING
Final synthesis: available bone estimates, specific implant recommendations and success probability. Integrates findings from the 5 previous passes to suggest implant positions, diameters and lengths with clinical justification.
We continuously enhance the interface to deliver a premium experience. The view in your account may vary slightly.
SUPPORT TOOL, NOT DIAGNOSTIC
The AI analysis is an automated second opinion. It does not replace the surgeon clinical judgment nor substitute complementary studies like CBCT. All findings must be validated by the professional before making surgical decisions.
6 passes, not 1: Splitting the analysis into 6 specialized passes produces significantly more accurate results than a single general prompt. Each pass has a specific clinical focus and builds on the context of the previous ones.
Display modes
From the office to the OR
TrazaPano adapts to two distinct clinical scenarios: patient presentation and surgical use. Each mode optimizes the interface for its specific context.
PRESENTATION MODE
Clean full-screen for chair-side patient education. Hides all toolbars and menus. Shows only the panoramic with the plan overlaid. Ideal for explaining the treatment plan in a visual and understandable way.
SURGERY MODE
Minimalist interface for operative use. Shows only essential tools with large controls for gloved use. High contrast for visibility under surgical lighting. Simplified navigation with keyboard shortcuts.

SAVING AND EXPORT

AUTO-SAVE EVERY 30 SECONDS
TrazaPano saves your work automatically every 30 seconds. If you close the browser by accident or lose connection, your plan is protected. Each save is incremental — no performance loss.
PDF EXPORT
Generate a professional PDF with the panoramic and all overlaid planning. Ideal for patient communication, informed consent or clinical record filing. The PDF includes the symbol legend and calibrated measurements.
Frictionless workflow: Plan in the office, present to the patient with presentation mode, deliver the printed PDF, and consult the same plan in surgery mode during the procedure. One file, multiple contexts.
