Full Arch

The full arch arrives with prescription, verified photos, and 5 GB files — ready to design.

TrazaLab structures every full arch case so the lab receives implant system, multi-unit type, shimbashi, material, shade, and all scans — before opening CAD.

Protocols

Two protocols. One platform.

All-on-4 and All-on-5 have different implant counts, framework requirements, and loading protocols. TrazaLab captures the right fields for each — from provisional to definitive.

All-on-4
4 implants per arch, 2 tilted posterior up to 45 degrees. Immediate loading possible with PMMA provisional. The original Malo protocol — proven over two decades.
94.8% prosthetic survival 10yr
Malo et al. 2011 — PMID 21876758
All-on-5
5 implants per arch with titanium bar framework. Enhanced stability for larger arches and patients with parafunctional habits. Axial loading on all positions.
Enhanced framework stability
Pjetursson et al. 2012 — PMID 23062125
PMMA Provisional
CAD/CAM milled from a single PMMA puck. Worn 3-6 months during osseointegration. Bridge to the definitive — immediate esthetics and function while bone heals.
3-6 month healing phase
Immediate loading provisional protocol
Zirconia Definitive
Monolithic or layered zirconia final restoration. 900-1200 MPa flexural strength. Zero chipping in monolithic designs. The gold standard for long-term full arch.
0% chipping monolithic
Romandini et al. 2026 — PMID 41650383

This is how a full arch case arrives at your lab

The surgeon fills out the full arch prescription in TrazaLab. You receive the complete case: arch, implant system, multi-unit type, shimbashi, material, shade, and all files attached — up to 5 GB each.

No phone call. No WhatsApp audio. No guessing which multi-unit angle was placed. Everything structured, everything in one place.

Pipeline

9 stages. Each one trackable.

Full arch cases move through a structured pipeline. Every stage is visible to surgeon and lab — no guessing where the case is.

Submitted: Surgeon sends Rx with scans, photos, and full prescription fields.
Validating: Lab checks files, prescription completeness, and photo gates (VDO, shade).
Design: CAD design of provisional or definitive based on validated Rx data.
Surgeon Review: Digital preview sent for approval. Changes requested via TrazaChat.
Milling: PMMA puck or zirconia blank milled. Bar framework if All-on-5.
Try-In: Patient try-in appointment. Bite, esthetics, and phonetics verified.
Final Milling: Adjustments applied. Final material milled and finished.
Complete → Archived: Case delivered, documented, and archived with full audit trail.
Materials

Full arch materials

Four material options for full arch restorations. Each has different strength, longevity, and clinical trade-offs — TrazaLab captures which one was prescribed.

Material Use Strength Duration Key Advantage
PMMA Healing phase 80-120 MPa 3-6 months Immediate esthetics, easy to modify
Monolithic Zirconia Definitive 900-1200 MPa 15-20+ years 0% chipping, maximum strength
Hybrid (Ti + acrylic) Definitive Metal framework 10-15 years Proven track record, repairable
PFM Definitive 500-800 MPa 10-15 years Good esthetics, lower cost
Strength values from published literature. Romandini 2026

Prescription Flow

What the surgeon prescribes, step by step

8 structured fields for full arch. No free-text guessing. The surgeon selects, the lab receives — complete and validated.

1
Arch Selection
Upper, Lower, or Both. Each arch is tracked as a separate case with its own pipeline and files.
2
Treatment Type
PMMA Provisional, Definitive, or Try-in. Each type triggers different validation rules and stage requirements.
3
Implant System
Nobel Biocare, Straumann, Neodent, BioHorizons, or other. The lab needs to know which library to use in CAD.
4
Multi-Unit Type
17 degrees, 30 degrees, Straight, or Ti Base. Angle determines screw channel direction and framework clearance.
5
Shimbashi Measurement
Vertical dimension of occlusion measured in mm. Required VDO photo gate — the system won't proceed without it.
6
Centric Relation Method
Bite registration method documented with photo. Critical for full arch — no room for error on CR.
7
Shade Selection
VITA Classical or 3D-Master. Shade photo gate required — calibrated lighting, shade tab visible next to teeth.
8
Framework & Material
PMMA, Monolithic Zirconia, Hybrid Ti+Acrylic, or PFM. Framework design (bar, individual, monolithic) selected based on protocol.
Quality Control

Full arch validation before design

10 full-arch-specific checks the lab runs before starting CAD. Structured in TrazaLab so nothing is missed.

Scans & Photogrammetry
Full arch coverage — no gaps, no tracking errors
All multi-units visible and scannable
Tissue scan: margins clear, no voids
Bite & Occlusion
Bite registration present and matches CR
Shimbashi measurement documented
Photos & Verification
VDO photo verified — ruler visible, patient at rest
Shade photo verified — calibrated light, tab visible
Smile line photo for tooth display reference
Prescription Completeness
No field conflicts — material matches treatment type
All required fields complete — zero blanks
