How to use the card

Print at 100% on any printer. Matte paper preferred. Do not scale — verify with a ruler that 30mm measures exactly 30mm on the printed card.

Place next to the model in every photo you take with TrazaCaptura. Especially in the prep detail photo — the scale lets you measure dimensions from the photo.

In shade photos the neutral gray strip serves as a white-balance reference. The lab can compare the gray in the photo against the real gray to calibrate color digitally.

The square markers in the corners let the software detect perspective and correct distortion. Do not cover them with your fingers or crop them out.

Replace the card every 3-6 months or when colors fade. Printed colors lose accuracy over time, especially under direct light.
What each element does
Scale ruler (0-30mm)
Lets you measure real dimensions from the photo. The black-and-white alternation every 5mm makes visual reading easier and enables automatic detection by software.
Neutral gray strip
6 gray tones from pure white to black. Serves as a white-balance reference. If the neutral gray looks bluish in the photo, lighting is cool. If it looks yellowish, it is warm.
RGB + CMY reference
8 primary and secondary color patches. Let software verify the capture device color accuracy and apply corrections if the lab monitor has a different profile.
VITA shade reference
4 patches with approximate A1, A2, A3, and A3.5 VITA Classical colors. They do not replace the physical guide but serve as a quick visual reference in the photo.
Corner markers
High-contrast squares the software detects to determine camera perspective. They let it correct distortion and calculate real scale even if the card is at an angle.
Printed instructions
The card itself includes verification instructions so the technician confirms it was printed correctly before using it.
